Support for Sparrow: Baby Tracker
Sparrow is a care-tracking app for medically complex kids — feeding (bottle, nursing and G-tube), medications, supplies, sleep, diapers, pumping and milk inventory, symptoms, and growth.
This page is the support contact referenced by the App Store listing.
Get in touch
Email hello@groundedtechco.com.
It is a small independent app, so replies come from a person rather than a support desk — usually within a few days.
To get a useful answer faster, please include:
- What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
- The app version, shown in Settings → About at the bottom of the screen.
- Your iOS version and device (Settings → General → About on your iPhone).
Please do not include your child's medical details in a support email. Nothing about the problem needs them, and email is not a safe place for them.
Common questions
How do I add another caregiver?
Settings → Caregivers → Invite a caregiver. That produces a code you can send however you already message that person. They enter it when they first open the app, on the "I have an invite code" option.
Invites are codes rather than emailed links on purpose: a caregiver who signs in with Apple's Hide My Email has an address you cannot know, so an invite pinned to an email address would be impossible to accept.
Why can I only sign in with Apple?
It is the only sign-in method, which means there is no password to be forgotten, reused or stolen, and account recovery is handled by Apple with two-factor authentication. The trade-off is that Sparrow is iPhone-only and needs an Apple ID.
I entered a feed in the wrong units, or at the wrong time
Every entry can be edited or deleted. Tap it in the timeline on the Home screen, or open View history from the relevant logging sheet.
Tube feed volumes are always recorded in millilitres. Feeds by mouth follow the unit you chose in Settings → Units.
How do I turn a section off?
Settings → Modules. Each module can be hidden per child, so a child who does not have a feeding tube never sees tube-feed fields. Hiding a module also stops its reminders. Nothing already recorded is deleted.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, in two forms:
- Settings → Export last 90 days (CSV) — a raw dump across every module.
- Trends → Share visit summary (PDF) — your open questions plus a seven-day snapshot, meant for an appointment.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.
If you are the only caregiver in your household, this permanently deletes the household, every child in it, and their entire care history. There is no undo and no backup. Export your data first if there is any chance you will want it.
If other caregivers share the household, the household and its records stay and only your own access is removed.
Reminders are not arriving
Check, in order:
- Settings → Reminders — the module has an interval set, and is not Off.
- iOS Settings → Sparrow → Notifications — notifications are allowed.
- The module is still enabled in Settings → Modules; a hidden module's reminders are switched off deliberately.
Is Sparrow a medical device?
No. It records what you tell it and shows it back to you, and it displays the formula behind any calculation it makes. It does not diagnose, advise, or check whether a dose or a rate is safe. Always confirm dosing and rates with your care team.
